A fantasy told in a really nice way by Jan Stryvant who is an expert in such type of art. The writer has not only established a love story out of a novel that is mostly based on crime scenes and the punishing of the criminals because that is something to which Sean has devoted his life since the very beginning.
Sean is the one with extraordinary powers that he uses to save and protect the human race but at the same time, he wants to keep his identity hidden from the world because his purpose is not to show of power or showing dominance over the human race.
Sean gives so much time to his heroic activities that he starts feeling that he has killed his personal life and thus his life has become meaningless for him. Jan has very beautifully described the need for love even for aliens as no one can live alone forever and the basic aim of life should be to search for pleasure and happiness instead of ruthless killing.
Sean after finding a woman who he thinks that is willing to spend her life with him who has been alone since he remembers decides to leave the self-assigned task forever and he indulges so deeply in love bond that he does not care for the human race’s future anymore he knows that someone else will emerge and would take his place in order to create a balance in the world between good and evil.
The narration is also superb by Charlie Boxwood who has surely portrayed the emotion of hatred and love through his voice that was quite essential for the story. People also have liked stories including The Shanghai Factor – Charles McCarry and Dark Sacred Night – Michael Connelly if you have got some time to get into these mysteries.
