A Killer’s Wife: Desert Plains, Book 1

Victor Methos is a lawyer turned author and that proved to be worth a career switch for him. He is an Afghan born author who made a good name for himself in USA first as a lawyer and then a novelist. He has so far published more than 40 books and many of them are worth your time. A couple of those good books by the author are A Gambler’s Jury and The Neon Lawyer.

A Killer’s Wife as understood by its title is a mystery thriller. The book itself is a part of a novel series by the name of Desert Plains. In its audio version, you will hear the voice of Brittany Pressley. The performance was quite impressive as endorsed by the fans and followers of the novel.

The story starts with the mentioning of an instance some 14 years ago. That was the time when Jessica Yardley, a prosecutor had her husband going into prison. He was accused for a series of murders. In the present day, she is having a fine life with her daughter and she herself is a top reputed attorney. She has moved on in her life. But, when a new wave of some homicides had Eddie, her ex-husband name written all over it, then the nightmares from her past life came back to haunt her life.

The FBI requested Jessica to get into this case and hunt for the copycat killer. This also means that Jessica now has to visit her ex-husband as well and also have to collaborate with the person who completely shattered her life. Will Jessica be able to track down the real culprit and get her life in shape once again?
