A Lineage of Grace: Five Stories of Unlikely Women Who Changed Eternity

It’s just not a single book rather it is a compilation of five books which are produced by Francine Rivers in continuation. Each book has a female character which plays a very important role in history making. The women get selected directly by God and they fulfil the purpose of life that is given to them. Tamar is the first one who is selected and the first story revolves around her. She starts playing her role in the lineage of Jesus Christ and then comes Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and finally Mary who becomes the last piece of the puzzle.

    A Lineage of Grace

These women face not only uphill tasks or challenges but also scandals which make their life miserable for them. Throughout their lives none of them run away from the challenge and for the sake of a bigger objective they show their readiness to sacrifice all the pleasures of life.

Francine Rivers talks about the holy journey at great length in these five books and it appears to be a religious journey which is correctly described. Redeeming Love and The Lady’s Mine lacked the length which this book has because it is in combined form. Moreover the topic under discussion is something which can prove quite interesting for people of all ages. It is connected to religion and the motive of the author was also to highlight these things which have been lying in the past for a long time.

Scandals and the torture which the five women face at the hands of a cruel society show their patience and strength to bear the hardships. All of them were just not ready to face defeat because their motive was quite noble.
