Mysteries and psychological thrillers is not Colleen Hoover’s game usually as the author is writing about confused love mostly. It is difficult for most after listening to book such as Ugly Love and Maybe Someday to expect a fine thriller from writer’s pen. The experiment however is a success and mostly all over the world people are giving this book an A too. Launches with a troubled marriage scenario the book has no mentioning of any disasters at the start.
Quinn and Graham are trying to live a happy married life but the marriage is failing. The relation that they are keeping is not fake they have emotions for one another for years now but the secrets that lie buried deep within are troubling them from the inside. Both of them have made disasters over the years and they have been hiding those facts from one another for quite a while now. From the outside there is nothing wrong with them but from the inside they are really going down.
They still want to keep the relation both of them but things are getting messy after the passing of each day. It is real emotional and heart rendering novel about two people who want to keep things in the same way in their lives but ironically they are the guys who are destroying everything.
Masterly narrated by Madeleine Maby the novel goes beyond your expectation and never loses the impact at all. A nice experiment by Colleen too and a successful one as well as the author mixes love with mystery and thrill. A nice little experiment and in the years to come we will witness more of such material by the author.
