Fiction really comes to life whenever we listen to the stories written by Marlon James who has the potential to create good drama out of trivial happenings. Tracker is on the hunt when the story opens at the disappearance of a boy in a strange way.

No one knows what happened to the boy or who took it all they know that he had gone missing all of a sudden. Tracker has never failed in any mission because he possesses the nose that can smell mysterious happening around him.

    Black Leopard, Red Wolf

Here during the search he finds another group in search of the same boy and thinks that it is time to change his view about the formation of a team. For the first time in his life tracker joins a team not because he does not possess any clue but because of the sheer reason that the evils are far bigger than he ever faced before.

The group too is not of people with ordinary skills or talents; the group has members who have matchless powers like the Tracker. The smell of the boy leads them to deadly paths as they face deadly enemies and the more trouble they face the more doubt arouse in the mind of the Tracker.

    Black Leopard, Red Wolf

He starts thinking that perhaps he has not selected the group in an intelligent way. Because he does not know why they were in search of the boy and are they his friends or they are the one who want to use the boy for their own purpose. If someone is listening to this part he must have a glance on A Brief History of Seven Killings and The Book of Night Women to see the true colors of the writer in a big way. The picture description and the people involved in the picture suddenly come to life by the words that the author uses.

Dion Graham’s narration too cannot be side lined; it is because of the narration the tale becomes more understandable and easy to digest. Moreover the old myths that are attached to the series provide deep information about African culture.
