It is excellently written by Joy Ellis and the audience would definitely love the twists and turns throughout the narration of this novel. Buried on the Fens is chapter 7 of the DI Nikki Galena novel series. For the narration of this novel, Henrietta Meire has done a fantastic job and you will definitely love the performance.
A skeleton is discovered somewhere around the churchyard and inside a shallow grave. However, this wasn’t a usual or an official burial. The skeleton discovered was of a person who was killed many years ago. Detective Inspector Nikki Galena at the same time along with her investigation team started investigating this brutal killing, where the murdered person was Madeline Prospero, a fine young local businesswoman. Madeline was also an active member then of a secretive and an exclusive drinking club known by the name of The Briar Patch. But, DI Nikki Galena and her team has got absolutely no suspects after a good bit of investigation was done and nobody at all was looking to tell them the actual truth behind this mystery.
It was just a matter of time when the buried skeleton in the churchyard led them on a trail to Quintin Eaudyke village. This village was a very troubled place. In the era of 70s and 80s, the place was known for immense terror and abuse. When a few more woman from The briar Patch club came under danger or the threat, DI Nikki Galena came across race against time for the sake of stopping the murders from happening.
