Children of Blood and Bone

Child of Blood and Bone is a science fiction fantasy novel for teens. It is written by Tomi Adeymi, who is considered as a fine writer of his time. The book is part 1 of the Legacy of Orisha novel series. Bahni Turpin grabbed the opportunity of doing the narration of this novel, which turned out to be a successful and highly admirable venture with his powerful performance.

The author in this novel crafts a stunning world that is full of danger and some dark magic. As this is the first book of the series and going through this one would motivate you to read other chapters in the series as well.

Zelie Adebola remembers the time when the Orisha soil used to hum with magic. The burners used to ignite flames through it and mother of Zelie Reaper summoned forth souls. However, everything changed all of a sudden when the night magic got disappeared and was nowhere to be seen or experienced. Under the direct orders of a callous king, Maji got killed. This left Zelie alone and without a mother. That also dimmed hopes of the other people as well.

Zelie still has one chance left but this is the only one in order to bring back magic and hit alongside the monarchy. With the help of the reprobate princess, Zelie is bound to outrun and outsmart the crown prince, who actually is hell bent on eliminating magic for good from the soil.

Children of Virtue and Vengeance is another excellent book by Tomi Adeyni as a writer, which is specifically intended for teens. It earned his good name among novelist and definitely one for the teens to enjoy in its audio book format.
