Aratare joined the fate of a fae and human together in Cinders & Ashes: Book 1. Finn and Rohan found in each other the soul mate that they were looking for but this also started a terrible conflict in the state that both of them hold dear. At the start of the novel, we are told that Finn is badly injured and his hopes of getting better are decreasing with the passage of time.
King Rohan cannot see this happening in front of his eyes so he goes to the land of the fae with Serxio in order to find a cure for his soul mate. There he gets arrested and finds out that there are other people too from the human world who have been turned into slaves by the fae ruler. Rohan and Serxio also get arrested and they too are turned into slaves.
In the meantime, Finn thinks that his magic is getting more and more powerful and there is something linked to him that his parents never told him. When Finn feels that Rohan is in trouble, he leaves that dream zone and comes into the real world once again. The two soul mates finally show aggression against their enemies in order to save the other.
Cinders & Ashes, Book 4 is also waiting for the listeners as it starts the journey towards the finale. It is the kind of battle that will continue to the last scene and the love of the two lads will be tested on more than one occasion.
