Machines with the power to think started dominating the human world and soon the humans lost control on their world and also on their self. Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson took control of the series after the death of Frank and so far they have managed to keep the real spirit of the series alive. Now this second book starts after twenty years since the last big encounter of the two enemies.

Serena along with her team is still in the struggling phase because the enemy has proved stronger than her expectations. The zeal to fight has not been dampened still. Many human groups look tired but they want freedom for which they have worked so hard till the present day. Jool has a group which calls itself elite because the warriors are well trained and they are well prepared to slay the enemy on the battleground one more time.

    Dune: The Machine Crusade

However the zeal and enthusiasm cannot defeat the enemy which is in great a number and strength. The only hope is in the form of a technology which can transport the humans from one place to another within no time. If they get their hands on this technology then they would be able to defeat their enemy within no time.

After narrating Dune: The Butlerian Jihad, Scott Brick became the natural pick for this book as well. The narrator has also narrated Dune: The Battle of Corrin as well which proves that he is awesome throughout. Don’t think that the book has only action in it because there is also a strong story as well which is linked with the action of the battle zone.
