Endangered is a mystery thriller with bone-chilling suspense as well. It is the 15th book in Joe Pickett novel series. It is brilliantly authored by C. J. Box. He is highly rated for his Joe Pickett series while he has written a few other short stories and stand-alone novels as well. Many of his books have been translated into 27 different languages. Only in the USA, more than 10 million copies of his books have been sold. Off the Grid is a very good mystery thriller from Box and so is his Nowhere to Run novel.
There is no surprise to see David Chandler as the narrator of this book, especially those who are following the Joe Pickett series from the start. He continued to fascinate the followers of this series with another stunning performance.
She was eventually gone. Joe had very good reason not to be a fan of Dallas Cates, even if he was some sort of a rodeo champion. But, he became even more then.
April was the 18 years old ward of Joe and she had eloped with Dallas. The even worse news came after that. A brutally injured body of a girl was discovered within a ditch that was next to the highway. She was alive but barely breathing.
It was April herself and the doctors were not sure if she would recover. Dallas denied any link with the incident. Joe somehow knew who the culprit was. the only thing he didn’t know was the level of danger that he will soon be encountering.
The only complaint that people have from the author is that every new installment made them wait six months to a year. This series and this Endangered novel are extremely interesting and very hard to resist.
