A lot of humor and then an element of wisdom in it is the basic formation of Kristan Higgins stories throughout her career. This time she deals with a topic that relates to most of the women of the current era just like she did in her book Catch of the Day (Gideon’s Cove, #1) – Kristan Higgins.
The story starts with the introduction of three girls who join a camp associated to weight loss. One piece of this triangle vanishes when Emerson dies and before her death she wants a promise from her friends, a promise related to their future lives; that they would always conquer their worst fears that they usually carry in their everyday life. Both Marley and Georgia have tragedies related to their lives that they carry with themselves, tragedies that stop them from enjoying their lives.
Marley carries the guilt that she was the survivor among the two twins when her twin sister died in childhood. Georgia always tries to live according to the wishes of her mother and elder brother; the more she tries the more funny things happen with her in her life that becomes a mess. The main thing which both these girls realize as they grow up by making them stronger in every passing moment of their life they finally understand what their friend really wanted from them.
She wanted them to live a life for themselves and love their own self instead of trying to please everyone around them and making their lives miserable all the time. She wanted them to understand them to understand the true meaning of their lives. There are three people used in the narration department Xe Sands, Lori Gardner, Suzy Jackson and all have played their part well narrating the voices of the three girls and everyone around them.
