Stephen King in this book has partnered with Joe Hill and that proved to be a very lethal combination. Stephen King with his ideas and imagination steal the show while Joe Hill was no less when it comes to the characterization of all the main characters in this horror story.
In the Tall Grass is a story of a brother and sister who were just going by the road when a young boy cry made them pull off to the side of the road. He was crying for help from beyond the tall grass by the side of the road. Within no time, both the brother and sister and brother were disoriented and soon they both lost each other. It is also the time when the cry of the young boy became even more desperate for help. The real story and the horrifying events started to occur after that and that is the true soul of the story which the Stephen King and Joe Hill combo have beautifully delivered.
However, the end of the story is somewhat predictable and you as a reader might seem to lose interest in the mid of the second half. Nonetheless, the books are excellent and it has many aspects which makes this book worth reading. Not only this but a few other books from the authors It, Horns: A Novel and The Fireman: A Novel. Finally, we can never thank Stephen Lang enough for his soulful narration which actually delivers the true essence of this story to its listeners.
