Port Mortuary is a crime mystery thriller. You will get to experience some gripping suspense in this novel. The book is chapter 18 of the Scarpetta novel series, which is packed with some incredible novels. The author behind this enormous saga is Patricia Cornwell who is considered to be a highly talented writer of mystery thrillers. A few of her highly incredible novels include the likes of Cruel and Unusual and Quantum: A Thriller.

Kate Burton gets her first chance as a narrator to create an impression that was certainly lacking in performance for the past few novels in this series. However, there was no improvement noticed and the performance turned out to be quite flat.

    Port Mortuary

Port Mortuary is regarded as a port of the dead. It has a fast-paced story that tells about a treacherous way from the past life of Scarpetta which merges links with hi-tech highways where she finds herself now. We will travel right back to the time of the beginning of her career. This was when she accepted a lucrative scholarship offer from the US air force to pay back all her debts incurred from the medical school. Now, after 20 years, her covert military ties have taken her to the Air Force base in Dovel. This was the place where she has been engrossed in a training fellowship.

Soon, Scarpetta is confronted with a new case that could close down her novice forensic facility forever.

Port Mortuary is not among the best works by Patricia Cornwell. She has surely done a lot better. Port Mortuary can be hardly coined as a pass-time novel with nothing extraordinary at all.
