Picking up the right book for the weekend in these busy days is always a hectic task but still Royal Spyness is something on which you can put your money one without any doubt. The charisma and the grandeur of the Queen’s court is always a fascinating thing to observe and you can get this thing in plenty throughout the series. Especially in the early books A Royal Pain and Royal Flush we even observe the table manners and the decoration of the court and the living rooms of the palace.
Rhys Bowen don’t join the story to the palace all the time but still the Queen’s court is always there in the stories all the time. One thing that is still lacking in the series is that the Lady is not getting any sort of rise in status in the palace.
Instead of trying her luck in the Queen’s castle she moves to Hollywood as it has been her dream right from the start of the series to be an actress of first rank. Here too she gets a death scene but this is an opportunity she cannot just say no.
The sensation of Hollywood is in the air but at the same time Georgiana follows another case. The case is linked to a jewel thief who is among the most wanted list of the department. Katherine Kellgren’s looks all over in the scenes attached to Hollywood perhaps this was something new for her but still we cannot call it a second rank effort. The narrator is doing fine from the first part and still she carries well in the later session of the novel.
