The man supposed to have super powers has survived many odds just by the help of his inner cunningness and that is the true strength of Locke that Scott Lynch has given to him. Some of the people in Camorr thought that he was a well wisher of the poor, other thought that he had magical powers but none of this proved correct in The Lies of Locke Lamora. Locke Lamora in reality runs a band of thugs and that’s all.
His crime list just got big in Camorr and now he along with Jean Tannen comes to Tal Varrar for the accomplishment of another mission. Here the two plan to loot the gaming house of the state because it seems to be the biggest compound of money in the whole country.
Task looks easy for the two but then they listen to the rumors about those who tried to seal from Sinspire. The only way money can be taken out from the gaming house is through winning on the gambling table.
Moreover they have another problem on their tails i.e Bondsmagi who are coming for Locke Lamora because he escaped their deadly fangs after spitting on their faces. It is danger everywhere not to forget the band of pirates that Locke and Jean are asked to catch at any rate.
Again more than strength Locke is forced to believe on his wits that have been his strength since the day he started looting the rich. The unobjectionable voice of Michael Page seals another deal as the narrator completes this book in the same awesome style as was done in the last book.
