Steal is a mystery thriller with suspense. It is the third installment in the Instinct novel series. It is written by James Patterson and Howard Roughan. They both have produced some excellent other mystery thrillers where Instinct is one of them and that is also the title chapter of this series. The zoo is another mystery thriller book from James Patterson’s Zoo series which he co-authored with Michael Ledwidge.
The audio narration of the book is done by Jay Ben Markson. The change of the narrator only in the third chapter didn’t make any sense. Edoardo set high standards with his performance which Jay was unable to match.
Just imagine the surprise of everyone when Carter put an Instagram post that he planned to kill himself. Carter was a sophomore in the Abnormal Psychology class of Dr. Dylan. 24 hours passed and still, nobody has seen Carter.
A massive search started. When the sailboat of Carter was seen rolling with the tide at the shore and without having him inside then the worst was almost confirmed. Has he killed himself?
Mathias, his father was the only person who was convinced that Carter was still alive. Mathias was also the CEO and founder of the largest hedge fund in the world. What Mathias knows about the proceedings would eventually reveal a huge secret. It will be so damaging that he was committing suicide himself. He had no option to approach the police. But, he could still turn to someone…
The story of this book is fine but you will find it difficult to follow. The narration was bland and that took away a lot from the enjoyment of this book.
