The one of a kind hero joins the scene once again as R. A. Salvatore starts to write another journey of Drizzt this time sending him to the forgotten realms. We have seen Drizzt emerging at every level and in every task that has been given to him. Even in stressed and distressed situation he is the kind of man who never loses his head.
He lost his friends, his kingdom and even his love in chapters like The Last Threshold but we always see him in a fresh look and in high passions. Because of this the listener never gets bored because they are not transferred a dejected feeling at any step. Victor Bevine since the start of the epic series has been doing the narrators job and now the narrator has become a permanent part of the whole thing and his voice suits perfectly.
New allies are once again joined and new faces mix up quite excellently in the whole scenario weaving new patterns in the life of Drizzt. The great hero and the winner of epic battles even name his band this time which comprises his friends and allies. Thus one can expect that the Companions of the Hall will be seen engaged in different battles in the near future. For the first time they make this the sole purpose of their life and a way to live as well.
The characters are much bolder and they don’t show any sign of pessimism as well which brings more positive energy into play that was lacking in the previous four books. Drizzt too is not mourning on the losses nor is he looking for any love now.
