Cornelia Funke is a German author with a good grip on English literary writing skills. She is more into writing science fiction fantasy novels for children and young adult audiences. Her Inkheart trilogy is considered her best work so far. A couple of quality novels from this trilogy are Inkheart and Inkspell. The subject novel, The Griffin’s Feather is an action and adventure novel for children. It is chapter 2 of the Dragon Rider Series.

    The Griffin's Feather

Cornelia Funke herself played a part in the narration of this novel which was quite an exciting experience for the listeners. However, the narration responsibility was mainly with Marc Thompson and the performance was magnificent and kids just loved it to the maximum.

The Dragon is back in this exciting The Griffin’s Feather novel after coming to a great end in the last novel.

    The Griffin's Feather

The very last of the winged horses are just on the edge of extinction. The home of a young dragon rider along with his mighty silver dragon right at the sanctuary for the many threatened creatures, three foals were seen curled upright in their eggs. The foals are in grave danger and seem highly threatened. The only way out in this situation looks to be the sun feather of a griffin. However, the creatures having the body of a lion and head of an eagle known as Griffin are the fiercest enemy of the dragons. This is where a very dangerous but exciting adventure starts.

The novel is great fun and enjoyment for children. The sound effects and music in the background seemed to be a little unnecessary. But overall, it was a good listen for children.
