The Summer I Turned Pretty is a teen & young adult novel. It is the opening title of the Summer novel series. The book is written by Jenny Han who is a very talented writer of young adult and children’s books. We’ll Always Have Summer is a gorgeous novel by the author. Moreover, you will also be mesmerized by her writing in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before novel.

The audio narration of The Summer I Turned Pretty is done by Lola Tung. It was an annoying performance with some weird vocal gestures from the reader at times that distracted the listeners.

Some summers are the ones that are always destined to be pretty.

Belly was a girl who used to measure her life in the summers. Everything magical and everything good happened in summers, specifically starting from June and carrying on till August. Winters on the other side were known to be simply a time of the year to count on the weeks leading to the next exciting summer. It was also about waiting for the faraway place at the beautiful beach house, which was also quite away from Susannah.

    The Summer I Turned Pretty

Most importantly, that was a place far away from Conrad and Jeremiah as well. They were the boys that Belly know since her very first exciting summer. They were more like brother figures to her, even her crushes and everything that comes in between. However one summer, a terrible and wonderful summer, the more things started to change, the more it ended up just the way it should have been throughout.

This book will make you laugh, cry, and do everything that comes in between. The major issue that listeners faced in this audiobook is the poor narrator. The narrator was weirdly laughing, and even sometimes in the serious parts of the book.
