The Unloved is a horror fiction novel. It is written by John Saul who is good when it comes to writing some engaging fictional novels. He deserves to be read or listen to more and if you are thinking the same then check out his Suffer the Children and In the Dark of the Night novels. Both the novels sound great in their audio version and the experience for fictional novel buffs would be exceptional.

The narration of this chapter is done by Emily Sutton-Smith. It was a good performance and received positive reviews and feedbacks.

    The Unloved

The novel starts with the description of a deceptively tranquil and lush house. It had blossoming vegetation and pristine beaches nearby. Kevin Devereaux makes a return to the home after 20 years along with his wife and two kids. They have come here to visit the frightening mother of Kevin, with her slash of red color lipstick and a tongue that has always worked to cut in deep in the heart of Kevin. She told me that she was ill. But, is this the genuine reason for the old woman to call in her son who has not met her for so many years?

Suddenly and very horribly, his mother died when she was locked inside the nursery. And, there is no escape possible now. All the secrets of this family for now come up as the tortured spirits from the past to wrap the evil around the innocent kids. There, they were able to learn all about the terror of The Unloved.

The Unloved is a beautiful novel overall with an engaging tale. This could be a good novel to entrust in your free time. You will also love the performance of Emily in this one.
