If you are interested in more stories from the author then her The Return: Shadows Souls will make a very good read. On top of that, her The Vampire Diaries, Book 1 s also highly recommended.
The audio narration of the book is done by Rebecca Mozo. She did her best and the listeners liked this performance.
With all the help and support of the devious and handsome Damon, Elena Gilbert managed to rescue Stefan, her love. She was imprisoned in the pits of the Dark Dimension. However, neither of the brothers made a return back unscathed.
Stefan appeared to be quite weak after he came out of long imprisonment. He needed to have a lot more blood than what Elena could provide him with. The weird magic on the other side transformed Damon into a human. He was quite desperate and savage. He was willing to go to any extent to once again become a vampire, even if it required him to go to hell. But, what would be the situation f he took Bonnie accidentally along with him?
Stefan hurried along with Elena to rescue their friend from the Dark Dimension. That left Meredith and Matt to defend their hometown from the evil spirits which got hold of the Fell’s Church.
This is the chapter where it seemed that the story was unnecessarily dragged. It didn’t come to a very satisfying conclusion or the hype it build at the end of the second chapter.
