Ship of Destiny is the 3rd chapter in the Liveship Traders and 6th chapter in the longer Realms of the Elderlings novel series. The book is a science fiction fantasy. It is written by Robin Hobb who is an accomplished author when it comes to writing the best fantasy fictional novels. Some of her best books include the likes of The Assassin’s Quest and Dragon Keeper.
Anne Flosnik is the narrator of this chapter. Her performance was much better than the earlier two novels of the mini-series, but still, there is a lot of room for improvement. Her pauses at times towards the end of sentences were a bit of a distraction.
You will find the dragon Tingtaglia getting released from the wizard wood coffin but only to discover that all the glories of the kingdom have been a thing of the past. Malta Vestrit meanwhile moves the Rain Wild River acid flow into a decomposing boat. While being accompanied by Satrap Cosgo and Kekki.
Hoping against hope, a ship out of nowhere appears in the waters but is it a good sign or more of a nightmare for Malta? The citizens are in a deep war in the ruined Bingtown fighting the Chalcidian mercenaries encircling the harbor. If the city has to be defended, Vestrit is bound to unite all its people including Tattooed and Trader, and should then liberate the place once and for all.
It is quite a lengthy but exciting audio novel lasting for nearly 34 hours. The writing is good by Robin Hobb and she managed to give a glorious conclusion to the amazing Liveship Traders trilogy. The narration had some good room for improvement.
