Masked Ball at Broxley Manor is a novel written by Rhys Bowen, who already has earned good name by now with a few of his brilliant novels. This novel is a short opening chapter from the Royal Spyness novel series. The audio narration of this novel just spans a little less than 2 hours. The narration of this novel is done by Katherine Kelgren, who with her stern and expressive voice managed to give a top tier performance. The novel itself is a historical mystery thriller.

This is an awesome prequel to the best-selling novel by the name of Royal Spyness, which is actually the title of the series as well. The mysteries in the series features Lady Georgiana Rannoch in the main character, who is the 34th person in the throne’s line and also to be the poorest heiress ever in the history of England.

    Masked Ball at Broxley Manor

Right at the end of her first season (unsuccessful) in the society, she has got all, but actually had given up completely on attracting a good person of the opposite gender, only until, when she receives an invitation to attend a ma masked Halloween ball. It was planned at broxley Manor. She had no idea that why she was invited there, until she was informed that the royal family is looking t get her married to a foreign prince.

The prince was known to be mad. When the prince managed to rescue Lady Georgina from a very weird and embarrassing situation at the venue, she was extremely surprised to find that the prince was quite charming and dashing.

The Tuscan Child and Four Funerals and Maybe a Wedding are a couple of well-crafted novels by Rhys Bowen with excellent storyline and awesome characterization. The audio format of these novels is surely a treat for the book lovers.
