Nick is portrayed as an army officer in the story by Codi Hall. He had a girlfriend whom he had to leave for a while because he was stationed at a far off place. Now on Christmas, he was returning home and he was quite happy that he would be meeting his girlfriend after such a long time. The excitement was killed when Nick found out that his girlfriend has cheated on him in his absence.
She has made a new boyfriend which means that Nick has no place in her life anymore. Nick became sad and he thought that he could spend Christmas with his best friend Noel after which he will leave his hometown forever. Noel has always been there for him and her endless tunes can pacify any broken heart. At the end of the night, the two finally kissed and Nick thinks that he has all the reasons to stay now because he wasn’t alone anymore.
The two were celebrating Christmas with the same passion but the difference was that they were celebrating it like a couple now. Brooke Bloomingdale and Edward Thomas narrated these two characters separately and it was the right way to treat these two major characters. Young Jane Young kind of was in fashion in the past but now people like to listen to these magically romantic stories.
The two characters were in contact with each other for years and there weren’t able to comprehend the relationship that was developing between the two. Then finally they understood that it was nothing else than pure love which was attracting both of them toward each other.
