Tell Her Story is a novella by Margot Hunt. She writes gripping mystery thrillers and other fiction novels for which she has been highly praised. One of her best titles to mention here is For Better and Worse. Apart from this, The Last Affair.
The audio narration of Tell Her Story is done by a long cast of narrators. The names are Dakota Fanning, Vikas Adam, LJ Ganser, Emily Bauer, Fred Berman, Ann Osmond, Laura Darrell, and Jonathan Davis. All of them did a terrific job and made narration the highlight of this book.
Paige Barrett was living a dream life in New York City working as a journalist. She was working for The Razor as a staff writer which was an innovative online magazine. But when she got fired from her job all of a sudden and also dumped badly by her boyfriend then she discovered herself back home which was on the beautiful Shoreham shore in Florida. She started to work as a waitress there and was living in the guesthouse of her sister.
She became quite itchy and restless and was looking to have something good which could occupy her time. Therefore, she decided to launch her new podcast which was about the true crime of the death of Jessica. She was her teacher who died 20 years ago under mysterious circumstances. The investigation happened but soon it became a cold case and there were no suspects or leads found. But the more Paige started to dig into the death of that woman, the closer she came to the killer. It is way too difficult in a tiny town like Shoreham to keep a secret hidden forever.
This is a lovely short story that is packed with bone-chilling suspense. The pacing of the book is terrific and the narration par excellence, and that will make you keep on listening to this book.
