Michael McConnohie is the narrator of The Black Box novel. He replaced Len Cariou and you will be OK with this replacement. Michael is equally as good as Len Cariou.
In a murder case that spanned well over a couple of decades, Harry Bosch, an LAPD detective linked a bullet from a recent case to a file that was from 1992. It was the old case of a female photographer during the time of riots in Los Angeles. Harry Bosch originally investigated that case. But then it was forwarded to the Riot Crimes Task Force, and it remains unsolved.
Now the ballistic match of Harry Bosch indicated that the killing of that young photographer was not due to random violence. But it was something extremely personal and linked with a much deeper intrigue. Harry Bosch did his best to find the ‘black box’ which was that one piece of evidence that was big enough to pull that case together.
This is a very good book from the series and you have every good reason to invest your time in this one. The author has paced this story quite well and the narration was par excellent too. It will not disappoint you. Guaranteed.
