AUDIOBOOK FOR YOU - TOKYBOOK!

A nice little thriller for the weakened if one is interested in things with psychological issues as well. Alex Michaelides wove the story quite well as you are never led astray from the main plot and each part and sentence of the novel gives us the hint of the future that is yet to approach.

The complexity makes us delve deeper into the story and we move through the lines in haste so that we can solve the whole thing in our minds. The story also brings several questions to our mind related to the husband and wife that are the primary characters in the novel. The therapist in the story is also quite emotional towards solving the case of murder in order to get to the root cause of the whole drama i.e why the woman killed her husband in the first place. Both the husband and the wife are connected to the field of art as one is a painter and the second one is a photographer.

The Silent Patient

The couple seems to be the perfect one in the town until the night when Alicia shoots her husband Gabriel when he returns from a photoshoot. It’s not an ordinary killing as she shoots her husband five times and that too in the face and after that, she goes completely silent and never reveals anything related to her ill-doing. The story in the voice of Jack Hawkins and Louise and Brealey gives this domestic tragedy a new a totally new outlook as we go deep in the mind of Alicia the silent patient and the hot talk of the town. Die Stumme Patientin can be read along with this one in order to understand the works of the writer that have a psychological touch in them.

    1. Wow I was so into the story and had so much speculation and the plot twist was so good in a way I had to know but it still kept me on my toes
