Motels near the highways claim the attention of many who pass nearby or stay for a while or two before they reach their final destination. Motels could never be your final destination because they just help to bridge the gap between the city isolated highways. Simone St. James describes two different time periods in the novel first is the era in which Viv was there in the hotel at that time the year was 1982. The second ear is of Carly Kirk who is the niece of Viv and the year as are told is 2017.
In these two different eras the condition, trends and the traditions of the Sun Down Motel remains the same. Even the outlook is not different as if the time stands still in that Motel. Viv Delaney was an ambitious young girl when she decided to get herself settled in the hustle and bustle of New York. In order to ease the financial burden she takes the job of a clerk at the Motel in Fell. From the first day the girl gets a haunted gesture from the crew and the building and then after a few days Viv vanishes forever.
Carly Kirk has just heard the stories about her aunt whom she never saw because she vanished before her birth but still Carly is curious about her. That curiosity takes Carly to the same motel and she learns that it was not a good idea to come to that haunted place. Brittany Pressley narrates Viv and Kirsten Potter takes up the character of Carly and the combo is mind blowing. The Broken Girls approximately has the same sort of concept in it, the personalities of the girls look a little resembling but not to the extent of comparison.
