Arrival of the virus and then its spread gave no time to the population to think about the neighboring countries. Who survived and how no one knows because everyone was busy in saving his own skin. Now after forty years of ups and downs that was witnessed in Wild Cards I and Wild Cards II: Aces High the Aces, Jokers and politicians plan for a survey. Mission is simple they want to investigate that how the rest of the countries survived during the calamity and how are they living their lives now.
Gregg Hartman gets an unusual and unsettling team of Aces, Jokers and Troll for the survey. As the team march on they see some unexpected scenes that they were not hoping to see. There are some Wild Cards that have achieved the status of gods in some parts of the world. Then there are also others who have lost contact with the world because the world is not willing to digest them.
Tour in many sense becomes fruitful because a lot of new friends are made but the team confront powerful enemies too that might make things worse if left to flourish unchecked.
George R.R. Martin, Roger Zelanzy, Walter Jon Williams along with the rest of the team is trying to bring some new things since the last book and they have been succeeding too. Fan following for this audio series surely has increased a lot over the last year and that’s why narration too is getting a lot of attention. Kathleen Turner, Adrian Paul, P.J. Ochlan and Clancy Brown provide each individual a separate voice and pitch for this purpose.
