The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands
The third in the series of Stephen King shares the same author as that was in the second portion. Hearing Frank Muller again binds us with the last portion of the second part at once and we will that it is a continuation of the same thing. This enhances the attachment toward the story to a whole different level.
The characters in the story are also same the young man Eddie and Odetta Holmes all the three characters are stuck in a wasteland called the Lud of which there is no way out. The one who could help them is also in need of their help as he has lost his senses. The whole story is a bit confusing this time because we come to know about the two different worlds in which Jake and Roland the main character exists.
At this stage of the series we the listeners also in our mind start wishing that the journey of Roland could somehow finally end in order to pacify his madness which has started to haunt us also. The whole thing is wonderfully narrated like the previous one and is better than the first part.
The voice of Frank Muller has made the characters alive in our minds we start feeling their emotions and passion to cross the wasteland and reach the dark tower as soon as possible. Stephen is the whole series is very carefully keeping the romance alive so that the listener does not start feeling that he is following a ghost in the form of Roland and continues to the next part i.e The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass which seems quite connected to The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three And The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger as well.
