Long Range is the 20th book in Joe Pickett’s novel series. It is a crime fiction book which is expertly written by C. J. Box. He is a popular American author with more than 10 million books sold across the USA. Many of those copies are of his Nowhere to Run and Force of Nature novels.
The narration of the Long-Range novel is done by David Chandler. He is a great performer and he proved that once again with his outstanding performance in this book.
Joe Pickett, the game warden of Wyoming was supposed to investigate an attempted murder case. It was a crime that was committed from a long distance.
When Joe was asked to become part of the rescue efforts for the victim of a brutal attack then he left his district behind, but reluctantly. A bizarre story was told by one of the survivors of that rampage. Just when Joe started to suspect that the attack was not actually what it appears to be, he was quickly called back home due to some emergency there. In his area, a judge was targeted by someone. He was shot from an impossibly long distance. The judge was narrowly saved but his wife got injured. It was all upon Joe to find all the answers there and also to find that shooter. The hunt for the assassin became personal to Joe when Nate, his best friend came under the radar of suspicion.
This novel is another winner in the great mystery series. You will be mesmerized by the different events in the lives of Joe and Nate and would anticipate more of that in future installments.
