Mariel of Redwall is an action and adventure book. It is specifically intended for children but entire families could enjoy it in their leisure time. The book is part 3 of the Redwall series which had a grand opening with its first novel and that made all following novels in the series highly anticipated. The book is written by Brian Jacques who is quite an accomplished writer with fictional books for children. There are some other god quality fictional books as well that includes Mattimeo and Martin the Warrior.
Brian Jacques prefers to do the narration of his novels himself. This is exactly what he has done in this novel. He was supported by a full cast of narrators to play different characters in the novel. It all turned out to be a fantastic experience for the listeners.
The Mousemaid Mariel and her father are tossed into the ocean by Gabool, a pirate rat who was supported by his thugs on this. They were washed ashore. Mariel was taken by the good kind animals that belong to the Redwall Abbey. But Mariel was not able to find her father and it looked obvious that he has lost his life. Quite a few surprises awaits ahead in this story and waiting for this and experiencing will surely mesmerize you.
If this book has to be described in one word then that word has to be “awesome”. You will really enjoy and feel for this novel and especially the part when the rat died. It is always a safe and good choice to bookmark this novel if you are not having time to listen it right away.
