Parker family has become a legend in the world because of its services for mankind over the decades. First it was Dean Parker that ruled the space in his youth and now his emerging young daughter is a sheer talent. Dean was sidelined a little in New Horizon and The Academy but it was actually a trick played by Nathan Hystad to show the fans that the world is not the same without Dean.
After a long service Dean finally has achieved the rank of a captain, he was desperate for it in the past when Magnus was preferred over him but now finally it is his turn. Being the captain of the ship known as Light surely is a big deal for the old Gatekeeper.
With him on his crew is his daughter Jules who has finished her training at the academy. Jules has achieved the status of the Gatekeeper at a very young age and it shows that the daughter is just like her father. Together the two go one their first mission that is to take Brik safe and sound to his home planet.
Dangers surround their ship from all side in this mission but the Parker family is in a habit of finding their way out from the grimmest of situations. New generation is stepping in slowly and the old one still remains firm in the series. It is good to see the combination of youth and age; one has the experience while the other has the energy and talent. Marc Vietor sustains the place of the official narrator in the twelfth part too but the female character does not get that much power in some chapters.
