The Marriage is a suspenseful mystery thriller authored by K. L. Slater. She is a highly talented British author of mystery thriller novels. If you want to try out some of her most prominent titles then go first with her The Evidence novel. If you like this recommended novel then you will like The Silent One from the author as well.

Lucy Price-Lewis is the narrator of this novel and she did a stunning job with the awesome performance that the listeners enjoyed.

My son got killed by him ten years ago and today I just married that killer.

Jesse was my darling son who got murdered a decade ago and that was the time when our happy and perfect family got destroyed. My handsome, strong boy was always full of life but then soon he became a memory only or perhaps a picture of him that I used to carry everywhere I go.

But later I eventually came quite close to finding some sort of happiness again in my life. My ash-blonde hair was curled. The fight flowers carefully placed there would beautifully highlight my features. The entire chapel was prettied up in every good way. Moreover, some beautiful, small red hearts could also be seen scattered all across the table where I will be signing the register very soon with my new husband. My new husband was the same man who killed my son.

My family and friends were not able to understand my situation at all. Even my neighbors used to whisper and gossip that how I could marry someone like Tom. They just don’t know much about me at all.

As per the writing standards of K.L. Slater, The Marriage was kind of a mediocre psychological thriller. This is mainly said because of the slow pacing, especially in the first half of the novel. Rest it was all good.
