Shadow Spell is the 2nd novel in The Cousins O’Dwyer saga. It is written by Nora Roberts, who already has established herself as a top tier novelists, quite a time ago. The subject novel is a romantic one with an element of suspense as well. All this makes a lethal combination for a highly engaging novel for the audience. For the narration part, Alan Smyth has been entrusted with the job, who managed to make its audio version a success with his resourceful voice.
Along with the lore of Ireland and the legends running in his bloodstream, Connor O’Dwyer, the falconer takes great pride in calling the County Mayo as his home. It is also the place where Branna, his sister lives and works.
It is also the place where Iona, her cousin has finally managed to find true love and County Mayo is also the place where Connor has his childhood friends from that kind of a friends’ circle, which cannot be broken.
It is a friends’ circle now, which is just about to be stretched well out of size and shape and that too by a much long awaited kiss.
Meara Quinn makes her appearance in the story who is the best friend of Branna. They were more like a sister, separated by blood only. Meara and Connor’s paths used to cross each other almost on daily basis, as the latter used to take tourist on walks and the former was responsible for guiding the tourists on horses, while being on the lust green countryside of the County Mayo.
Blood Magick and Dark Witch are other two novels from Nora Roberts and from the trilogy, where all of those combined make a great literary experience for the audience.
