All the Skills 5 – Card Draws, Chaos Hives, and Dragon Drama That Had Me HOWLING
Okay LISTEN—
I been riding this card-slinging rollercoaster since Book 1, and at this point? I don’t even care what the stakes are. Just give me Arthur, Brixaby, and one more stupidly OP card combo and I’m locked in for 14 hours straight.
Book 5? Blood Moon Hive. Just the name alone sounds like a metal album or a cursed Magic: The Gathering expansion. AND IT DELIVERS. This ain’t just a new location. It’s a whole vibe shift. Things get grim. Things get weird. And everything’s on fire (sometimes literally, sometimes emotionally).
Arthur: Deckmaster. Chaos Magnet. Possibly Cursed.
Arthur, my boy. This man is out here stacking Legendary cards like it’s Pokémon 1999. But instead of Charizard, he’s gunning for world-shifting, hive-breaking, plot-armored artifacts that could break the universe.
And does he hesitate?
DOES. HE. PAUSE?
NOPE. Straight into the chaos. Straight into Blood Moon Hive like, “Yeah I heard there’s dragon hunters and blood sacrifices but maybe they got good food?”
Arthur’s the definition of “we ball” energy. Even when he knows it’s probably a trap, he still walks in like he got a Royal Flush in his hand.
Brixaby the DRAGON: Still My Favorite Grumpy Bestie
Can we take a moment???
BRIXABY. IS. A. NATIONAL. TREASURE.
The sass. The snark. The emotional growth arc that makes you cry into your chips. He’s still got that hoarder logic (“I found this trash, it’s valuable now”), but deep down he cares. He just hates admitting it.
Also… his scenes in Blood Moon??? SO tense. The stakes are REAL for him here. There’s talk of dragon hunters. There’s anti-dragon systems. There’s literal threats around every corner. And still, my guy’s out here flexing like “fight me, you ratlings.”
Blood Moon Hive: Murderhole With Leadership Seminars
Okay this hive??? What the hell.
It’s got: – Scourgling eruptions like background events
– A hierarchy that runs on fear, strength, and petty insults
– Side characters that might kill you or train you (sometimes both)
– Whispers of something darker lurking below the surface
This place feels like someone mixed Mad Max, Dungeons & Dragons, and The Office and then fed it to a Lovecraftian worm.
And yet? Arthur THRIVES here. Sorta. If thriving means getting nearly killed and manipulated 24/7 but still unlocking new card synergies while everyone watches confused and afraid.
The Card System? STILL OP, STILL AWESOME
Let’s not forget: this series has the coolest progression magic system in LitRPG right now. Period.
It’s card-based. It’s strategic. It’s combo-rich. And in this book? We get new deck themes, new rare drops, Legendary-tier mechanics, and a peek into what happens when you break the rules too hard.
Some of the card reveals?? Had me yelling. Literal “yo WHAT is that skill??” moments every couple chapters.
And when Arthur pulls out that one clutch move late in the book?? GOOSEBUMPS. Game over. I need that deck irl pls.
Is It a Trap? Probably. Are We Going Anyway? ABSOLUTELY.
So yeah. Everyone’s saying the Blood Moon Hive is sus. There’s rumors of bait. Of monsters in disguise. Of scourgling master plans and secret agendas. It’s giving “we got baited” energy from the start.
And yet—we go anyway.
Because Arthur doesn’t just chase power. He has to. For the mission. For the deck. For the DRAMA. And maybe even for something bigger.
Let’s just say… things go sideways. Then upside-down. Then explode. And I was here for every second.
Luke Daniels – Voice God. Card King. Dragon Whisperer.
You already KNOW Luke Daniels kills it every single time. But THIS one?? Special. He does: – Brixaby’s sarcasm =
– Arthur’s confusion-to-confidence arc =
– Side character madness =
– Big monster roars =
He’s basically DM’ing the greatest card-based DnD session ever, and I’m just a happy goblin listening at 1.5x speed with no regrets.
Final Verdict – 52 Card Pickup but With Dragons and Literal Death
All the Skills 5 is: – Smart
– Chaotic
– Dangerous
– Unpredictable
– And somehow still full of heart
If you: – Like LitRPG with actual systems that evolve
– Wanna see a chaotic good MC beat a dungeon with a half-broken synergy
– Need more dragons and less filler
– Live for tension, betrayal, and moments of pure clutch comeback energy
– Or just wanna scream “PLAY THE CARD!” like it’s Yu-Gi-Oh and the world’s ending
THEN BRO—this book’s for YOU.
Sorry for grammar I was too hype. Tokybook fam, if y’all ain’t on All the Skills yet, you missing out on one of the most creative, character-driven, deck-building LitRPG series ever written. Start from book 1. Catch up. Then come scream with me about Book 5’s ending.
