It all started when Carter came to meet his father’s family for the first time after his father’s sudden death. Being an illegitimate son he never had the chance to live with the original family of his father i.e the famous drug lord. Later he got engaged in a relationship with Miamor who was an enemy of the family. Thus things became complicated for these two lovers the more their love became stronger.
Ashley and JaQuavis come back to these two characters who decorated The Cartel and The Cartel 3: The Last Chapter. Miamor is in prison this time and Carter is not helping her at all not because he does not want to but he too wants to keep himself away from the law enforcement agencies. If he interferes in the issue he too will come into the eyes of the officials and would be arrested at all cost.
A cartel exists but only in the minds of the people because its real power and grip over the city are now non-existent. Between all of this Carter stands alone and is in dire need of help from an ally. The ally who is available to him is more threatening than an enemy because the gang wants him to spread a drug in the deadly market.
After seeing no other way to rescue his lovely wife whom he once thought was dead, Carter finally agrees to help the other gang. L. Steven Taylor in the narrator’s job shocked most of the people as the previous narrator was doing a good job from the beginning. However, after a few chapters, one gets used to this new voice as well which is quite soothing to the ear.
