After she was saved from her abductor 5 years ago, Claire is now trying to return to her normal life. She has made sure her past experience didn’t come in between her happiness. She is now finding her feet again.
But some events do not just want to be under our control. She took her sister and her dog to the river for a little recreation. However, she became trapped again in another mystery that doesn’t really want to go away from her life. Her life is in danger once again, and she needs to work with her ex to put things back in place.
As the story unfolds, Leah Holloway came into the picture. Her profile would suggest to anyone that she is living a happy life. She seems to have all she wants. But something must be definitely wrong with someone who tries to take the life of her own children, and even her neighbors’ children. Something must be wrong somewhere. And Connor has been given the responsibility to find out.
As you would expect from Lisa Regan’s books (Like The Bone She Buried), this one began on an interesting note and stayed that way till the end. The story line unfolds in a natural but unanticipated manner. This is the second book in the series and it really followed the trail of Finding Claire Fletcher, the previous installment.
It started on a bang. The book is the type that keeps the reader in an expecting and anxious mood till the end. Its storyline is straightforward but there are so many twists and intrigues along the way throughout the entire story. The good thing is, unlike many thrillers, this one ended well. In the end you will feel very one deserves what they got and their reward/punishment is a true reflection of their action.
