AUDIOBOOK FOR YOU - TOKYBOOK!

Nantucket Sisters is a fictional chapter from Nancy Thayer. She is an amazing writer of women’s fiction novels where her characters are really strong and the stories gripping as well. A prime example of her outstanding work could be experienced in Secrets in Summer. On top of that, The Hot Flash Club is another outstanding novel that Nancy Thayer has written.

The narration of the Nantucket Sisters’ novel is done by Kate Rudd. It was an annoying performance by Rudd, especially when she was doing it for the male characters.

Maggie and Emily in no time became good friends when they met for the first time on a beautiful beach in Nantucket. Though the well-heeled mom of Emily would like her to socialize with the upscale daughters of statesmen and bankers rather than spending time with the daughter of a local seamstress. But those two imaginative and lively girls spent quite a few summers together while enjoying building castles in the sand.

Nantucket Sisters

When Emily fell for their brother of Maggie named Ben then the paths of the two girls diverged. The duo however remained close friends. Then the unexpected happened. Their strong friendship reached its breaking point with the appearance of charismatic, handsome, and extremely sexy Cameron who was a Wall Street trader.

Maggie and Emily both found their road to love along with fulfillment after struggling a lot to make some difficult choices in life which came with its twists and turns as well.

The story of the book is good. One major issue was with the male characters’ development who seemed way too stereotypical. Another one was with the narration which seemed quite alienated from the characters.
