Jodi Taylor takes us on another tour that is full of fun, energy and action that is sensational but still there are no killings at all. A rather serious and epic part in history is touched this time, part that discusses epic characters such as Julius Caesar and Thea Philopator. Jodi during these comic episodes has made us travel almost all the main sections of history.
The author selects different eras and different civilizations. We are not always in England or America, we go to ancient Rome, we meet the Greek and we go back to the history of England. This time it is the ruler of Rome and the most famous one along with some issues related to his mistress. The story takes us as far as 44 BC. Jodi never went that far even in When a Child Is Born or A Symphony of Echoes perhaps one day we would be witnessing Adam and Eve if the series goes on like this.
One thing that is especially appreciable is that the time travelling drama now enters a different phase. It is not the type of time travelling that we observed in Back to the Future type movies. It is different for sure and written in a different mode and a changed approach. The story is new every time but the history described is correct and accurate no blunder in that.
Zara Ramm continues the excellent job of narration and everything in the series is just getting better and better after every episode that we listen to. Brilliant in all respects each episode can be listened as a separate book except the first one which is an intro.
