The Broken Girl is a fantastic ghost saga. It is perhaps the most grasping and suspenseful story ever written by the author, Simone St. James. The settings of its storyline are well drawn and found to be quite vivid. The audio narration is so compelling that you would listen through the complete narration of this long audio book in one go. Thanks to Rebecca Lowman for lending her powerful voice for the characters of this novel.
The story of this novel is set in Vermont in the year, 1950. There is a place there for all those girls who no one in this world want. These are the illegitimate and troublemaking girls, who are actually too smart for their own selves.
The place is known as the Idlewild Hall and in the place of its location in a small town, there are multiple rumors that this place or the boarding school is haunted. As many as 4 roommates in the boarding school joined over their alleged fears. Their friendship was blossoming with time, until one day, one out of these 4 folks got disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
Now in 2014 at the same place, Fiona Sheridan, the journalists couldn’t help herself revisiting all those horrifying events that surrounded the death of her sister. Her body was found a couple of decades ago from the fields just by the Idlewild Hall.
Simone St. James is a fine writer when it comes to writing the best and most grasping mystery thrillers and fictional novels as well. As an evidence to the statement, you must check out the recommended novels written by the author, which are: An Inquiry into Love and Death and The Haunting of Maddy Clare.
