Last Words is a crime mystery thriller written by the novelist, Michael Koryta. This chapter also marks the opening of the Mark Novak novel series, which is based around modern detective story. Robert Petkoff is the chosen narrator for this novel and with his powerful voice and expressive tone, he has done a great job.
The story revolves around Markus Novak, who is desperate to get back home. He is an investigator in a defense firm in Florida. His life was shattered and completely derailed when Lauren, her wife got killed right in the middle of a case, on which, both of them were working together. Her murderer 2 years down is at large still. The attempt to find the facts behind the murder of his wife through illegal means at times has had his job in danger.
Under these circumstances, he got deployed soon to Garrison, Indiana in order to investigate a cold case and about this case, he was certain that his boss is not at all would be interested in taking. Novak was aware that at times, some of the crimes doesn’t get solved at all. But, this is not always the case as things even in some impossible cases do work out. Will he be able to find the truth?
Michael Koryta is a fine novelist, especially when it comes to penning the best mystery thrillers, which the audience can enjoy and refer for a long time. A couple of good novels from the author, which are worth investing your time are Those Who Wish Me Dead and Envy the Night. Both are mystery thrillers and will give you excellent hours’ long entertainment.
