AUDIOBOOK FOR YOU - TOKYBOOK!

If anyone can narrate a mystery series better than the rest then it is Brad Sanders whose voice is made for things like this. For Alex cases always built up in the city and his life has been attached to these things since the day he joined the service. Kay Willingham was once the wife of the vice president but this is not the cause of her special connection with Alex.

She used to come to Alex for some other reasons which Alex does not talk about now. Their relationship didn’t end but they just stopped meeting each other after Alex’s marriage. Now when her dead body is found it brings back all those memories of the past in Alex’s mind. Problem is that her dead body is found near a private school and that too in the middle of the night. The other dead body is of the man who was the principal of the school when he was alive. No one knows why they were there and who shot them like sitting ducks.

Deadly Cross

Alex instead of working on the current scene tries to investigate Kay’s past for the first time in many years. Perhaps he always wanted to know a thing or two about her past but wasn’t able to do that as long as she was alive. Alex goes to Alabama and is surprised to learn that Kay had a long list of enemies.

A simple girl with so many enemies in her pursuit makes her character looks suspicious. James Patterson before this has never invested so much time in the description of investigations. We have heard Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls where the case quickly came to the action point. Here memories are dug and then clues are joined to know what happened to the woman and why.
