AUDIOBOOK FOR YOU - TOKYBOOK!

The Book of Etta is the second chapter in the Roads to Nowhere novel series. It is a science fiction and fantasy novel which is written by Med Elison. She is an American author and essayist. She wrote a lot on feminism and you will also find elements of gender flexibility, women empowerment, and body positivity in her writing. If you want to explore more titles from the author then The Book of the Unnamed Midwife will make a superb audiobook experience. The Book of Flora is another worth mentioning novel by Meg Elison.

Adenrele Ojo is the narrator of The Book of Etta. She didn’t succeed in her performance. She was struggling even with the most basic accents.

The Book of Etta

Etta was from Nowhere. It was a small village that had survivors living of the great plague. The plague was so severe that it wiped away almost the entire world. In this new world, women are scarce and childbearing was considered a very dangerous thing. Still, it was extremely necessary for the future of mankind. Midwives and mothers were all scared in that situation.

But for Etta, she had a pretty different calling. As a scavenger, she was extremely loyal to the village but she was living her life on her terms. She used to roam that deserted territory well beyond. She was into salvaging the productive relics of that broken past and then defying the risk of that brutal slave traders as well.

The first book in the series was spectacular and people had very high expectations with this sequel. Unfortunately, it backfired as this novel failed to meet their expectations. The poor narration made it even worse.
