Shari Lapena has been the first choice for the readers of domestic thrillers, her famous book The Couple Next Door really provided the meaning of the world hidden secrets.
In a fix space and limited span of time with the help of few characters Shari really arouses the mystery chill in her audience. It is another couple again with a happy life as Karen and Tom Krupp has been a married couple for quite a while now. They have been blessed by a beautiful home in New York a busy town to be living in as there is quite hustle and bustle. Good thing for the couple is that there is no hustle and bustle in the house as they have no children. The climax occurs when all of a sudden one day tom returns to his house and finds out that Karen is not at home.
Later he is told that his wife has been hospitalized because of a severe accident that she survived but the heavy blows made her lose her memory. There are signs of recovery as she is brought back to the house but this does not seem to her the same house anymore in which she used to live. Everybody is a complete stranger to her hiding his own secrets that she knew nothing about in the current state.
Tavia Gilbert’s chilling voice fills the novel with the colors of enthusiasm and no doubt anyone who gives this book a go is bound to enjoy.
