    Code Name Verity is a historical fiction novel. It is the first book in Code Name Verity novel series. It is written by Elizabeth Wein. She is an American-born author which is mainly known for her YA historical fiction. Star Wars: The Last Jedi: Cobalt Squadron is a very beautiful novel by the author. You will be also impressed with the writing skills of Elizabeth Wein in the White Eagles & Firebird novel.

    This book tells a compelling, fascinating, and emotionally rich tale. It employed universal themes of loyalty, friendship, bravery, and heroism. The story mainly revolves around a couple of women. They both came from different backgrounds but they were thrown together during the time of WW II. One of them was from Manchester and belonged to a working class.

    The other woman was a Scottish aristocrat. One was a wireless operator and the other was a pilot. Whenever the paths of these women crossed with each other, they perfectly complemented each other and soon became devoted friends. But things changed when a highly critical mission went wrong. One of the two had to jump out of the struggling plane while it was flying over France. The Gestapo got hold of her and then she became a war prisoner.

    Code Name Verity is a poignant tale of survival and friendship. It will have its sad, funny, and scary moments, and all of this will fascinate you a lot.
