Project Hail Mary is a science fiction and fantasy book. It is written by Andy Weir. He is an American author and won the John W. Campbell Award in 2015 for Best New Writer. It was his debut novel The Martian which was also adapted into a feature film with the same name. His debut novel was published in 2011. After that, he gave several good novels where Artemis is one of them, which is a mystery thriller.
The narration of Project Hail Mary in audio is done by Ray Porter who is a very reliable name in the voice acting world. His performance won the hearts of the majority of the followers of this novel.
Ryland Grace is the only survivor who was on a last-chance, desperate mission. If he fails in the mission then the Earth and humanity will get perished.
But, he doesn’t know that right now. He is not able to remember his very own name, let alone his mission and how to accomplish it. All that he knows now is that he has been asleep for a very long time. He just got awakened to discover himself millions of miles away from his home. He only had a couple of corpses’ company with him there. His teammates are dead and his memory is making a slow return. He realized that an impossible task was right in front of him.
If you are a fan of The Martian and even Artemis novels then Project Hail Mary wouldn’t disappoint you. It might not be as good as The Martian novel but still, it will be worth your time. The writing and the narration of this book have been outstanding.
