Sorcery of Thorns is a fictional novel for teen and young adult audiences. The book is masterfully written by Margaret Rogerson and it received some excellent reviews and feedbacks. The author has done some extraordinary work in the fictional field with quite a good number of novels to her credit. An Enhancement of Ravens is another fine novel from the author that you could try for a joyful literary experience.
Emily Ellet did the narration of this novel. The performance was a bit flat and it failed to create any significant impression in the eyes, ears, or minds of the audience.
All sorcerers are believed to be evil. This is a fact that Elisabeth has known as long as she has recognized anything in this world. She has grown up among the different sorcery tools that include the jangle underneath the iron chains and the magical grimoires that use to murmur on the shelves.
If they are ever provoked then they transform themselves into ludicrous fiends of leather and ink. She was looking to become a warden and charged with the defense of the kingdom from the power of those monsters.
Then an act of sabotage happened and it releases a treacherous grimoire from the library. The desperate intervention of Elisabeth implicates her in the wrongdoing and eventually she gets torn from her home to face justice.
The author became the bestselling in the New York Times for her An Enhancement of Ravens novel. The same brilliant work from the author could also be seen in Sorcery of Thorns and it is worth a listen. The flat narration however is a bit of a concern.
