The writer of Infinite and Space Force, Jeremy Robinson along with Hilaree Robinson creates yet another masterpiece that almost follows the same theme or we can say that the element of travelling or the feeling of a long journey is there like always. The story like other novels of the writer start with the news of human destruction but this time however the writer takes us one step ahead of the previous stories that he has been telling us about the survival of the human race.

    The Distance

The story opens with the news that the human race has vanished forever. There is only one survivor named August Morrison who cannot comprehend what has happened after his awakening, he fails to find his daughter and assistance around him. The loneliness that August faces really fills us with awe as this is something more terrible than the battle for survival against a hostile alien race.

The revelation of the second life in the form of a pregnant woman however relaxes our minds a bit. Poe the one who survived because she was hidden in a coffin by her parents wants an answer for everything that has happened to the human race. Both survivors join forces to get to the root of the matter as something does not seem to be natural especially the sky.

A real gripping story with a tense plot and a bit slow pace when it comes to the development of the story but the description is quite mature and complete. The narration by Heather Costa and Jeffrey Kafer move well and blends nicely with the novel from its beginning to the final disposition of the problem.
