Harry Bosch, the LAPD detective was given three years before he had to retire from his job. He was looking to get the fiercest cases ever. And then one morning, he got two of them.
The DNA from a rape case of 1989 matched with a convicted rapist who was 29 years old. So, was he really n eight years old killer or was there something wrong in that Regional Crime Lab? If the latter was true then that would compromise all of the DNA cases of the lab which were currently in the court.
Harry Bosch was called to the death scene along with his partner. It was all fraught with intense internal politics. The son of Irvin Irving, a councilman jumped or was he pushed from a window. Irvin Irving, the longtime nemesis of Harry Bosch demanded that the investigation must be handled by Harry Bosch.
